Long Range Systems (LRS) is a leading global provider of on-site paging and tracking equipment.  LRS tools and associated software are used in a variety of venues including hospitality, healthcare, logistics, and other service-based industries.  Based in Richardson, Texas and founded in 1993, we are an international company with over 80,000 locations using LRS solutions.  LRS provides onsite guest and staff management tools and real-time location based indoor positioning services.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

LRS is seeking a senior level Global Account Manager to grow revenue with current International Distributors as well as identify, sign, onboard, train and develop new distribution partners in additional markets.  A successful candidate will manage and report against established targets increasing engagement with the partners.  This will include removing obstacles to increase sales and efficiency.  He or she will develop regional business plans and propose methods to grow the international business segment.  The role must successfully work cross functionally within LRS to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions for international purposes.  The Global Account Manager is responsible for identifying new opportunities, correcting issues and ensuring long-term success of our International Distributors while achieving sales quotas and account objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become fully familiar with LRS Product offerings, uses and industry verticals served.  Learn about competitors and their product lines, being able to identify differentiation.

  • Manage International Distribution Agreements developing reports to measure against targets and rebates.  Create templates to serve monthly or quarterly reporting requirements.

  • Establish productive and professional relationships with personnel at the International Distributors and work with the sales administration function to support these Distributors on daily basis.

  • Work directly with International Distributors to identify and report on sales pipelines and growth opportunities.  Collaboratively obtain forecasts and purchase commitments and manage future ship type orders in conjunction with operations personnel.

  • Oversee, and participate in, the International order entry process

  • Assist International Distributors to identify product issues, document company risks and record product ideas.  Develop business cases based on input and submit for decision making.

  • Assist with recruiting new distributors and work cross functionally to rollout a complete onboarding process that increases potential success.  This will include identifying and managing product compliance requirements within markets.

  • Work cross-functionally coordinating resources from various departments to solve account challenges and achieve account objectives.  These will include:

    • Customer Support           - Product, Installation, training or other issues that may arise

    • Product Management   - Product knowledge and collateral requirements for operation

    • Operations                         - Components, forecasts, configuration, shipping or scheduling 

    • Marketing                           -  Tradeshows, market development, recruiting, collateral

    • Engineering                        -  Hardware issues, Certifications, technical questions

  • Collect and report on all requests from accounts or International Distributors pertaining to account issues or successes acting as the voice of customer to LRS.

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of successful account management experience preferably in multinational environments

  • Prior experience in leading the consultation sales process involving IT type products

  • Prior experience in collaborating within multi-tiered or channel partner environments

  • Prior experience that required strong communication skills across all levels of the organization

  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to influence at all levels

  • Exhibited project management experience with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines utilizing cross-functional resources

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Additional language skills are desired

  • Prior experience with Netsuite is desired

  • Prior  experience with process automation or implementation of electronic ordering is desired

  • Up to 25% travel
